School was cancelled yesterday because of heavy snowfall overnight.
Before I settled down to study for my MA I went out to capture some snowy photos.
As I trudged through the fields I came across this horse, taking shelter from the biting wind.
It sums up the strange feeling of desolation that descended on the valley, as the ground turned white and the sky remained resolutely grey.

Glad you liked the pic. It was one of those unexpected turn-a-corner and 'whoa!' type moments. I was certain the horse would move before I had got my gloves off, loaded the flashgun and got myself ready.
Thankfully, it all worked out well.

Most people love it
but oviously horses are more delicate when it comes to the cold.
I say the cutest dog with a little jacket on go past our house on snow day! Thats what this horse needs!
